Darlene Prouse Birkes and Ruth Prouse Morgan Scholarship

Thelma and Ervin Prouse established this scholarship in honor of their daughters, Life Members Frances Darlene Prouse Birkes and Ruth Prouse Morgan. Mrs. Frances Darlene Prouse Birkes received a Bachelor’s of Journalism from UT in 1954, a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1955 graduating with honors, and in 1957 she received a Master’s degree in History. Dr. Ruth Prouse Morgan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government in 1956, earning her Phi Beta Kappa key in her junior year. She received a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.
