Dr. Neil and Mrs. Clarita Fonville Buie Scholarship

Orange blood ran in Neil and Clarita Buie’s veins and with it, a family tradition of commitment and service to the University. The late Neil Buie, BA ’39, was a member of the Longhorn Band, and Clarita, BA ’50, was a Pi Phi and Phi Beta Kappa graduate. In gratitude for the many blessings they received from their beloved hometown and university, Clarita continued this tradition in perpetuity with a scholarship that benefits a student from Falls County, with preference given to a graduate of Marlin High School.
