Elizabeth Shatto Massey and John H. Massey
John H. Massey, LLB ’66, and Elizabeth “Libba” Shatto Massey, BS ’61, endowed this scholarship to acknowledge the tremendous impact The University of Texas at Austin has played in their lives.
John received his BBA from Southern Methodist University, MBA from Cornell University, and his LLB from UT School of Law. His professional career has been in the banking, insurance, and asset management business. During the course of his career, John has served as CEO and president of two large corporations listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has served as a director for more than forty corporations.
Libba has been a volunteer leader in her community for over forty years as a member of many community organizations including the Highland Park School Board, president of the Junior League of Dallas, member of Leadership Dallas, trustee of West Dallas Community School, and chair of Dallas County Committee for the Homeless. In 2010, the Texas Exes presented Libba a Distinguished Alumnus Award on behalf of The University of Texas at Austin.
John and Libba are Life Members of the Texas Exes and have been major benefactors to the Association, School of Law, College of Education and the McCombs School of Business.
