Gladys Whitley Hearst Challenge Grant Scholarship

Journalist, writer, and teacher Gladys Whitley Hearst, BA ’28, Life Member, established this scholarship with a gift from her estate. It is awarded for four years of undergraduate study to an African-American or Hispanic entering freshman enrolled in the College of Communication with demonstrated academic excellence and a financial need.
