USA Volleyball - Lonestar Region

USA Volleyball – Lonestar Region established an endowment for students previously or currently involved in some capacity with volleyball and attending The University of Texas at Austin (the “University”). In honor of the great University of Texas coach, Glen Lietzke, this scholarship is aimed to amplify the success of those who also love the game of volleyball. Glen was a foundational figure in the growth of volleyball, making lasting contributions at the collegiate, youth, and national levels. His collegiate coaching career included stops at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and Southwest Missouri State, but his most significant impact came at the University of Texas, where he served as an assistant coach during the Longhorns’ 1988 NCAA National Championship season. Glen’s vision, leadership, and passion shaped generations of athletes and left an enduring legacy at Texas and across the volleyball community. In grateful recognition of the Donor’s generosity, this endowment will be known as The Glen Lietzke Scholarship Fund.
