Henry and Ann Seals Family
Ann Seals, Life Member, BS ’81 and her husband Henry Seals, Life Member, contribute to this scholarship in support of the Forty Acres Scholars Program and its student scholars.
Three generations of the Seals family have attended and graduated from UT-Austin: Ann’s mother, Charlotte See Pruter, graduated with a BA degree in 1948; her sister Susan Pruter Swan, a BS in 1986; Henry’s father attended while he was in the Navy during WWII; and most recently, Ann and Henry’s son Bobby, graduated with a PharmD in 2009.
After receiving her degree in education from UT, Ann taught school at a myriad of different campuses through the West Orange Cove CISD system. Ann has volunteered with the Texas Exes for over 30 years, serving on the Board of Directors, chairing the Scholarship Committee, chairing the Local Involvement Committee, and participating with the Flying Longhorns program. She currently is a member of the Scholarship Advisory Committee and was an integral part of the development of the Forty Acres Scholars Program. Ann is a recipient of the Texas Exes Top Hand Award. She is also an emeritus member of the UGS Advisory Council at UT.
Henry began work after receiving his BS in general business and his MBA in Marketing at UNT in 1975. He worked for the JC Penny Corporation with stints in San Antonio and Boulder, CO, before returning to his hometown of Orange, TX where he purchased an office supply and furniture corporation in 1981. After 35 years with The Orange Stationer, Inc., Henry retired and he and Ann moved to Austin in 2016.
