Judge Raymond L. Murray Memorial Scholarship

Raymond “Buck” Murray started at the University in 1918 and earned his law degree in 1924. In 1983 his widow, Ada Bliss Murray, BA ’29, Life Member, gave her engagement ring to the Texas Exes to be sold to provide an endowment in her husband’s memory. It was her desire to “give the ring back to Judge Murray” in a way that would honor him in perpetuity. The scholarship is awarded to a student in the School of Law.
