Pauline Allen Gill Forty Acres Scholarship

Life Member Pauline Allen Gill Sullivan (1916-2006) graduated from Terrell High School, attended The Hockaday School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin in 1939 where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and a Blue Bonnet Belle. She was a member of the Dallas Woman’s Club, Dallas Garden Club, Founders Garden Club, Triad Book Club, Dallas Country Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council, a monthly lunch group, Bible Study Fellowship, and Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Pauline had a lifelong interest in art and was instrumental in moving the Dallas Museum of Art to downtown Dallas. Her generosity through the Pauline Allen Gill Foundation has benefited numerous worthwhile organizations in Dallas since 1975. Her family established this scholarship in her honor.
