Silver Spurs–Joe M. Dealey Memorial Scholarship

As the official caretakers of Bevo, the University’s mascot, the Silver Spurs raise money to help fund this scholarship from Bevo’s special appearances. In 1995, through donations from Silver Spurs alumni, this scholarship was endowed as a permanent tribute to the founder of the Silver Spurs, Joe M. Dealey, BA ’41, Life Member. The award benefits a deserving male entering freshman from the Austin area.
