Stuart W. Stedman Forty Acres Scholarship

Stuart W. Stedman, BA ’79, MBA ’85, JD ’85, on behalf of the Stedman West Foundation, endowed this scholarship as a way to repay The University of Texas at Austin for changing his life.

Stedman began his academic career at Claremont Men’s College in California before transferring to the University as a sophomore. With a concentration in history, he credits the Plan II Honors leaders for driving him towards success.

The Houston businessman is president of Stedman West Interests, Inc., a family investment company that manages securities, oil and gas properties, coal properties, ranches and real estate.
