Beckelman/Sutton Education Scholarship

For a current, in-state UT student with financial need who desires to become a teacher and/or a coach. The student may be majoring within the School of Education and/or pursuing a degree through the College of Liberal Arts (COLA), College of Fine Arts (CFA) or College of Natural Sciences (CNS) as long as the student is in teacher preparation work through the schools like UTeach programs. The student may be an undergraduate or graduate student. Should the student change majors, the scholarship can follow the student through graduation.

The Donors have expressed preferences for scholarship recipients in these categories:
• Student was active in a high school team activity (e.g. Athletics, Band, Choir, Cheer, or Drill Team)
• Student is from Tarrant or Montgomery Counties
• 4-year undergraduate student over a graduate student
